We wrote Pidgin on stage at Brixton Jamm, and its ended our live sets ever since – a mashup of musical languages we speak, mixing junglist breaks with dense harmonies and fearless improv. Recorded partly at Giant Wafer studios and partly in isolation, we wanted to capture our longing for the stage and distil it into 2 minutes. Straight out the gates you know you’re in for a treat when the beat is immediately flipped and stacked with horns before tenor sinks its teeth in to the beat.
