A mix of through-composed psychedelic hip hop and Mexican classical music, Danzon is constantly shifting through the gears. The instrumental dances like the star-crossed lovers of Mandeep. and Looby’s verses; from a solo trumpet of a smoky bar to the bombastic brass of ballroom encounters. The climax is vented through Adam McLoughlin’s tenor solo, crystallising the feeling of finding love on the dancefloor, before DJ Dubba Dutch crafts a super low frequency outro worthy of the pickiest selector.
